Indonesia President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) along with the First Lady of Indonesia, Iriana Jokowi, attended Lebaran Betawi Event at Setu Babakan Betawi Culture Village (PBB), Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

According to him, Setu Babakan PBB is one form of Jakarta Provincial Government attention towards Betawi cultural preservation and development.
"In here, the center of Betawi culture was built. Not only in form of house or building, but also its culture, its special culinary inside the house such as Bir Pletok," he added.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat affirmed, president's commitment towards Betawi cultural preservation and development has been realized by Jakarta Provincial Government.
"His commitment to preserve Betawi ornaments, traditional clothing, symbols, and architecture have been realized," he stated.
He explained that Jakarta Provincial Government has appointed Setu Babakan PBB as Betawi Cultural Center according to president's wishes when he served as Jakarta Governor.
"Bamus Betawi and us decided to hold Lebaran Betawi at Setu Babakan each years," he expressed.
He added that Betawi people is egalitarian society, full of tolerance, appreciate each others, and adapted to its environment well.
"We want Jakarta to be equal with other countries' capital in the world," he closed.
